Kathy Wenger - Program Director

I have been a parent, grandparent, teacher aide, and director at St. Luke’s Preschool / 4K. I'm also a practicing R.N. My husband has been a pastor at St. Luke's since we moved here from St. Louis in 1971. Our family includes four children, two with spouses, and seven grandchildren. I enjoy working with the dedicated, loving and creative staff at St. Luke’s Preschool / 4K.

 

 

Amy Jansen - Preschool Teacher

Welcome to St. Luke's Pre-school! My name is Amy Jansen. This is my 9th year teaching the Monday/Wednesday/Friday 4K class. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin—Stevens Point with an emphasis in Reading. My husband, Rich, and I are very blessed with three children:  Natalie, 16; James 14; and Joseph, 7. We are active members of Rich's home church—Faith Reformed, here in Wisconsin Rapids. When James started kindergarten, St. Luke’s became an answer to a prayer. It combines all of my favorite things...teaching, sharing the gospel, music, crafts, and the blessing of working with children! I look forward to meeting you and your family! I'm excited to start another great year!

 

Tina Bernette

Hello, my name is Tina Bernette and I am one of the 3 year old Pre-School teachers here at St. Luke’s. My husband’s name is Scott and he is the Fire Chief in Grand Rapids. We have six great kids, Grant, Jaron, Valerie, Samantha, Landon & Elias. We live in Wisconsin Rapids and go to church here at St. Luke’s. I love spending time with my family & friends. I also like to scrapbook, read, and teach your children about Jesus and how much He loves them.

Lori Van Natta

Hello, I'm Lori Van Natta. I received my childcare assistant hours at Gateway Technical College and my Early Childhood II hours through Madison Area Technical College. I worked at Little Angels Christian Daycare in Whitewater until I had my first born. My children are Lauren, Caleb, Jacob, and Emily. We moved back to the Rapids area in 2003. I enjoy working at St. Luke's Preschool & 4K because I enjoy watching children grow in skills and spirit. Also, I'm very familiar with their curriculum because 3 of our 4 children attended there.

 

Shanna Kreutzer

When my oldest child attended St. Luke's Preschool, I fell in love with the program. Upon God's urging, I became certified through Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College and joined the preschool staff as a teacher's aide in 2008. My husband, Josh, and I are blessed with three children - Kaden, Kayla, Kendra - all whom have attended St. Luke's Preschool. Working in the classroom has been so rewarding watching children grow in their own way. Their love for Jesus amazes me and each day brings new surprises!

 

Paula Heil

I was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids.  My husband and I have been happily married for 22 years.  We have two children, our son, who is 19 years old, is a sophomore at UWSP and a daughter, who is 13 years old, is in eighth grade at East Junior High.  Both of our children had the privilege of attending St. Luke's Preschool and I am very excited to be a part of the staff at the school now.  I look forward to seeing and meeting you this school year.
